Double leopard print? Yes please honey! + being bold with your fashion choices

Monday 26 November 2018

People get afraid of wearing prints. But for me it's always been natural. Bold prints, patterns and colours are just a huge part of my style identity. I have always been a lover of pattern, and a wearer of bold prints and colours. Nothing pleases me more than finding a gorgeous new patterned dress, or a beautiful new bold blouse. Prints, colours and patterns aren't things you should be afraid of rocking – after all, fashion is an expression of yourself, so why not go all out?

Bold is my middle name. I have always been praised for being so bold, and quite frankly – I love it. Making bold fashion statements is my favourite thing to do: it gets people talking, it makes me stand out, and it makes a statement.

Leopard print has always been a firm favourite print of mine. I can't seem to get enough of it. Over the years my leopard collection has grown and grown. From faux fur leopard print coats, to thin sweaters, t-shirts, blouses, shoes, boots, bags, dresses, and hats – my collection is ever-growing! Kat Slater is an icon, and I doubt I'll ever stop thinking that... give me all the leopard print!

Some people think that wearing one item of clothing in bold leopard print is brave.. so naturally, I wanted to one up everyone else, and go for two lots of leopard print – one in the classic leopard print colour palette, and the other in a bolder more brash colour palette. I'm not one to blend in, or to follow trends entirely, so here I am, changing it up like always.

I love the contrast between the classic leopard, and the purple leopard – it makes a statement. It says that you're a rule breaker... it says that you're not afraid to be different... and it says that you're confident enough to be a trend setter.

Sometimes you just have to be bold.. especially if you don't want to be like everyone else. For me, individuality is an important trait. I couldn't stand being exactly the same as everybody else because I value my uniqueness too much – I would much rather be different than a carbon copy of somebody else... so yes, I will continue to mix up my outfits, and I will continue to be bold with my style choices.

Steal Mollie's Style

This outfit comprises of a stunning oversized purple leopard shirt dress from Monki AKA my favourite ever store. I've shopped at Monki for almost five years now, and I doubt I will ever stop shopping there. Monki ensure I'm on trend without being a carbon copy of anyone else, or of the catwalk. Monki and their clothes make me feel like me, they make me feel and look on trend, but with a twist.

I could've have gone all normal and teamed this with black tights, black shoes and a black coat... but that isn't me. So I teamed this bold dress with some nude tights, berry loafers and the ultimate statement bag ever... a stunning slouchy shoulder bag from Topshop. The combination of textures, prints, colours, and styles make this outfit edgy, on trend, and different too. It's a unique outfit that packs a punch, makes a statement, and says a lot about the personality of the wearer.
