Two Perfect Autumnal Eyeshadow Palettes

We can all now rejoice!! Autumn is here and long may it last! Autumn is my favourite ever season (as you can probably tell if you follow me on Twitter and Instagram), it's just full of gorgeous colours, crisp and cool air, chunky knit jumpers and comfy loafers. Autumn is also a brilliant season for playing with makeup, especially rust hues. In this post you shall be discovering two perfect palettes for fall - Urban Decay's Naked Heat and Laura Geller's The Delectables Palette in Delicious Shades of Nude. Keep reading for swatches, descriptions and my full review of them both...

These two palettes are absolute gems. With rusty hues, depthy greens and shimmering chocolates - these palettes are beyond perfect for the cooler months as they inject a sense of warmth, even when you're feeling cold.
The Naked Heat palette by Urban Decay took the entire world by storm earlier this summer - every blog has written about it, every major magazine has featured it and every beauty guru has and is still raving about it. The Naked Heat palette is a true gem and a now firm favourite of mine. The shades range from rusts, oranges, brick reds, plums to deep shimmery chocolates - each shade is highly pigmented and easily blended, although some of the matte shades are ever so slightly chalky when compared to the metallic shades of which are really buttery. See below for full shade descriptions...

SHADE DESCRIPTIONS // NAKED HEAT

Ounce: a gorgeous ivory shimmer - great for using on the brow bone and for the inner corners
Chaser: a matte light nude, great for using as a transitional shade in the crease
Sauced: a soft terra-cotta matte with rusty hues
Low Blow: a deep brown with brick red undertones
Lumbre: a delicate copper shimmer with a pearl shift
He Devil: a deep and dark brick red
Dirty Talk: a metallic rusty, burnt red
Scorched: a metallic shimmer red with gold flecks of micro glitter
Cayenne: a deep terra-cotta matte
En Fuego: a rusty burgundy matte with deep red undertones
Ashes: a deep brown with a red shift matte shade
Ember: a deep metallic chocolate brown with a copper/burgundy shift

The Laura Geller 'The Delectables' Delicious Shades Of Nude palette is a very earthy palette, containing various shades of earthy browns, greens and oranges. I have adored Laura Geller products for YEARS and this palette is no exception. Laura Geller specialises in baked makeup products and this palette shows her skills and knowledge of baked makeup to the max. I adore baked eyeshadows especially when they're by Laura Geller. Baked shadows are gorgeous because they are versatile, versatile because they can be used wet or dry depending on the look that you want to achieve. The swatches below have been done dry - this just shows how much pigment each shade contains. When they are switched/used wet, I imagine they'd be even more pigmented and powerful. See the shades and their descriptions below:
