My favourite kinda nudes.. getting naked with Urban Decay

For years I had dreamt of purchasing some NAKED products by Urban Decay, around the time I started blogging, the entirety of social media was inundated with gorgeous photographs of NAKED palettes and I just lusted over them, longed for them and kept adding them to my ever-growing wish-list. Having seen NAKED all over Instagram a few years ago and then falling for the brand last summer, I just had to invest in some cult classic NAKED products.

NAKED is a cult classic amongst bloggers, vloggers and beauty fanatics alike. Urban Decay have really struck gold with this range and I can totally see why. Not only is the packing totally dreamy, photogenic and 100% Insta worthy, but the products themselves are beyond professional. Rose gold is a running theme throughout the range and this is something that completely and utterly draws in anybody who is even just the tiniest bit obsessed with this craze.

I decided to order three different NAKED items from the range: NAKED 3, NAKED SKIN and NAKED ULTIMATE BASICS and oh boy am I pleased that I selected these three gorgeous products!

NAKED 3 Palette

The NAKED 3 palette is an eyeshadow palette I had been lusting over since forever. I know I say that a lot, but I'm being 100% honest with you - this palette had been on my wish-list ever since I started blogging but I just never really got around to it and that makes me pretty sad because it's honestly amazing - I've missed out on so many cute eye looks!! Comprising of the prettiest rose-gold hued shades, this palette really does answer all of our copper and rose-gold prayers. Now, let me talk you through each individual shade: Strange, a gorgeous pale matte shade which is perfect as a base shade and brow bone highlighter; Dust, the prettiest dusty pink which shimmer unlike anything I have ever set my eyes on before; Burnout, a gorgeous silky pink which works well as a transition shade teamed with Dust; Limit is a beautiful matte muted rose, which I adore wearing alone when I'm looking to create a more understated makeup look; Buzz is probably my favourite shade from this palette (in the world), it's a metallic muted rose/mauve and looks amazing with any makeup look. Trick is the most amazing copper, I've never seen a copper shadow so true to life as this; Nooner is a beautiful mushroom hued beige; Liar is the prettiest silk mushroom shade which looks amazing alone, all over the lid; Factory is another silky shimmer which is slightly darker than Liar and looks amazing in the crease with Liar covering the rest of the lid. Mugshot is a beautiful depthy, silky pewter with the most amazing metallic silk finish. Darkside is a smooth matte shadow in a highly pigmented blue hued grey and finally, Darkheart is a beautiful deep purple hued black matte shade, complete with flecks of purple micro-glitter.

NAKED SKIN Foundation

I'm always on the look out for a new foundation. For a while, I shyed away from high-end foundations as I perceived them to be a 'waste of money'. I thought that nothing could beat (or ever come close to) my holy grail Healthy Mix foundation by Bourjois - I was just way too set in my ways. Healthy Mix is still one of my all time favourite foundations (don't worry babes, I still love ya), but this one kind of tops them all. I really wish I had delved into the world of high-end foundations a little more because this foundation really is something special. The Urban Decay NAKED SKIN foundation is a miracle in a bottle - I'm not kidding. I'm really, really, really pale with an odd olive tone to it, which is why I find it so hard to find the perfect shade of foundation, but shade 1.0 from this range is beyond perfect for me and my odd complexion. Urban Decay states that this foundation is weightless, luminous and will achieve a professionally retouched outcome on everybody - and they're not wrong. This foundation really is like a thin liquid that melts onto the skin, locks into place and stays there all day long. Foundations tend to wear off around my nose, chin and forehead before the day draws to a close, but not NAKED SKIN.

NAKED ULTIMATE BASICS

I wasn't really one for matte eyeshadows until earlier this year, but ever since I experimented with a few shadows from my Pippa Blank Canvas palette, I was converted! After hearing multiple of my fave bloggers rave about this all matte, all naked palette, how could I not get this? Let me run you through the gorgeous selection of shades. The first rowBlow, the silkiest cream matte shade with a hint of shimmer, this shade is great for your brow bone; Nudie, a beautiful pinky-hued nude matte; Commando, a pretty lilac-toned super light and airy matte shade; Tempted, slightly darker than Commando and perfect when used together; Instinct, the prettiest mauve that looks amazing all over the lid with Lethal, a dark plum-hued purple used in the crease and outer-V. The second row: Pre-Game is a light lemon-hued matte shade which works perfect as a base shade for creating copper-toned eye looks; Extra Bitter is a gorgeous copper matte shade; Faith is a warm nude; Lockout is a warmer matte nude with a beige undertone; Magnet is a matte opaque grey and Blackjack is a deep black shade. My personal favourite shade combinations would be Instinct and Lethal to create a cool toned lilac and mauve eye look and Extra Bitter in the crease and outer-V with Pre-Game over the lid to create a warm sunset vibe eye look.

The Naked range by Urban Decay is truly breathtaking and I adore each and every product from the above to pieces. I'm so happy with my forever growing Urban Decay collection and I sure hope that I can get some more Naked products real soon!

My favourite NAKED palette would have to be NAKED 3 - what's your favourite NAKED palette? Let me know!
