THE PERFECTLY PINK MANICURE

My mum bought me my first Ciaté London paint pot this weekend and I just couldn't wait to give it a try! I had heard so much about Ciaté before and I had always wanted to try them.

On Sunday I had a pamper day, I lit some Yankee Candles, melted some Lush bath melts into a nice hot bubbly bath and painted my nails - All in preparation for the week ahead. (A Sunday well spent, brings a week of content).

I started off by prepping my nails. I removed my previous colour, which was a shiny metallic gold. I then filed and buffed my nails (sorry about the orange tinge to them, wear I have my nails red a lot of the time, it has stained them and I hate not wearing nail polish now because of that).

After buffing them and pushing back my cuticles, I use my most favourite nail saviour in the whole world... my Superdrug Hydrating Nail Serum. It nourishes, cleanses and revives my nails. I always use it before applying my base-coat as it ensures my nails are well kept and healthy.

I then apply my Essie base-coat which helps my nails grow and stay super strong. I used to have really un-attractive nails about two years ago as I used to wear acrylics for about a year and a half. If you are thinking about getting acrylics, please don't! It was the worst thing I ever did to my nails. The acrylics ruined my natural nails and it has taken me this long to get them looking like this!

Wait for the base-coat to dry and then apply two coats of the fabulously pigmented 'Kiss Chase' by Ciaté London. The colour is a gorgeous Barbie-esque pink that is VERY similar to Moschino's new capsule Barbie collection!!

Let them two coats dry thoroughly before applying your OPI topcoat. Then don't do anything for about 45mins. So chill-out, read a book, read a blog (preferably mine haha), or listen to some music.
